The plot twists are entertaining, and the escape rooms are fun to solve. The soundtrack is alright, and the voice acting in the PC version is good. Recommended for those who like escape rooms and mysteries/death-game style things.

999 is a mystery thriller that does it's best to lure you in with a classic death game scenario and then turns the premise on it's head while you are trying to piece together the whole picture. The twists and turns are very unpredictable and the way that the game uses the VN format to tell the story and show you the things you shouldn't see is something that can only be seen in other Uchikochi's works, and it's marvelous. It's hard to explain just how unique this game is without spoiling anything since the game tried it's best to market itself as a generic death game, when it's in fact one of the best thought out stories of it's genre when you take the whole Zero Escape trilogy into consideration.

Fun sci-fi/mystery hybrid with engaging escape-the-room gameplay segments. Has pretty good pacing and is always throwing new twists at you.
