Academic Statement
As Evidence Synthesis Librarian at Weill Cornell Medicine, I help support clinical care as well as the medical and graduate curriculums. I specialize in systematic reviews, a cornerstone of Evidence-Based Medicine that use standardized rigorous methodology to summarize the best available evidence and influence clinical decision making.
As a graduate of the Queens College MLIS program, I recognize the value of this program and am proud to share my knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for my profession with the QC community. Health Sciences Librarianship contains many facets and opportunities to employ a variety of different skill sets. My approach to teaching is centered around practical skills and competencies. I believe in learning through real-life scenarios and hands-on practice to provide a strong foundation to pursue internship/employment opportunities. Acknowledging the demands of graduate coursework in busy lives, I focus on attainable goals in an environment of respect, inclusion, and support.
