Central, Barton, Gandhi Smriti Library and Museum Visit 2024

"Doctor Who once said, 'You want weapons? We're in a library. Books are the best weapon in the world. This room's the greatest arsenal we could have. Arm yourself!' - Russell T. Davies Every year, the Library Committee arranged two events under its watch. The first one was Book Reading Day, and the second one was Library Visits. As students, we had numerous opportunities to open up our minds to new learning. While visiting various libraries and places related to learning, we were able to seize these opportunities. Additionally, these visits provided us with insights into how to organize such kinds of events. This year, on the 5th of January 2024, we - students of the Department of English, MKBU, Bhavnagar - visited three libraries: University Library of MKBU, Bhavnagar, Gandhi Smriti Museum and Library, Bhavnagar & Barton Library, Bhavnagar A library, for me, is not just a word but an emotion. What a cliché sentence, but it is also true. In the 11th standard, I saw the library for the first time - so many books and an amazing world. My life changed completely, and to this date, I have read around 70 books. After visiting these libraries, I got to experience the true magic of a library.

During the visit, I had a personal mishap when I accidentally dropped my phone into the water while attempting to capture a photo of a fish. Despite this incident, the overall experience was memorable and enriching. Here are some photos captured during the visit to give you a glimpse of the journey.
