Based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, we are working towards preserving the legacy of Sir Prabhashankar Pattani and Pattani family. The archives house letters, records, rare books, photographs, and objects from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth centuries, offering insight into the social, political, and cultural life of the region. Through our work of cataloguing, documentation, research and dissemination, we aim to preserve and widespread regional and lesser known history.

At Pattani Archives, our doors are always open to readers, researchers, and curious visitors. Through a range of outreach efforts - exhibitions, curated walkthroughs, school and college engagements, and research visits—we aim to share the richness of our collections with diverse audiences. Past Events
This section revisits some of our key milestones. The Open House Exhibition (2023–24), invited the community into archival rooms and narratives of the Pattani family across three distinct sites in Anantwadi, Bhavnagar. The video stories distill these moments, offering an immersive walkthrough of the exhibition’s curatorial process, displays, and voices. In continuation, our first publication is underway, aiming to take the histories of the Pattani family and the wider Kathiawar region to new audiences.
