Kalpana Bhatt Collection

This Collection, donated by Kalpana Bhatt, great-granddaughter of Sir Prabhashankar Pattani, comprises a range of personal and archival materials, including writing stationery like papers and a seal, several photographs, negatives, film reels, a camera, three sarees and blouses “Kamkha”. The collection is listed, and photo cataloguing is currently in progress.

The photographs—taken by both Kalpana Bhatt and her father, Shashikant Pattani—were preserved during her relocation from Baroda to Bhavnagar. The writing stationery was salvaged and kept safe during the demolition of the Juno Bungalow. The saris, originally belonging to Savita Pattani (fondly known as Sari Ma) and Lady Rama Pattani, were passed down to Kalpana Bhatt by her mother, Pragnya Pattani. The camera, a personal memento, was gifted to her by her father and has remained with her ever since.

Kalpanaben donated these materials in November 2023, right before the 'Public Launch and Open House Exhibition'. Following the event, the collection was formally acquired by Pattani Archives through the official paperwork.

આ સંગ્રહ સર પ્રભાશંકર પટ્ટણીના પ્રપૌત્રી કલ્પના ભટ્ટ દ્વારા દાનમાં આપેલ છે. સંગ્રહમાં વ્યક્તિગત અને આર્કાઇવલ સામગ્રીની શ્રેણીનો સમાવેશ થાય છે, જેમાં લેખન સ્ટેશનરી (કાગળ અને સ્ટેમ્પ), અનેક ફોટોગ્રાફ્સ, નેગેટિવ્સ, ફિલ્મ રીલ્સ, કેમેરા અને કમખા સાથેની ત્રણ સાડીઓનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. આ કલેક્શન સૂચિબદ્ધ છે, અને હાલમાં ફોટો કેટલોગિંગ પ્રક્રિયા ચાલુ છે.

કલ્પના ભટ્ટ અને તેમના પિતા, શશિકાંત પટ્ટણી બંને દ્વારા લેવામાં આવેલા ફોટોગ્રાફ્સ - બરોડાથી ભાવનગર સ્થળાંતર દરમિયાન સાચવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. તથા કલ્પનાબેનના માતા - પ્રજ્ઞા પટ્ટણી, દાદી - સવિતા પટ્ટણી, પરદાદી - લેડી રમા પટ્ટણીની  સાચવેલી સાડીઓ આ સંગ્રહમાં છે. અને તેમનો sure shot કેમેરો, એક વ્યક્તિગત સ્મૃતિચિહ્ન, જે તેમના પિતા દ્વારા ભેટમાં આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો તે તેમણે આર્કાઇવ્સમાં ડોનેટ કર્યો છે.

સર પ્રભાશંકર પટ્ટણીની પ્રપૌત્રી કલ્પના ભટ્ટે નવેમ્બર 2023 માં 'ઓપન હાઉસ પ્રદર્શન' દરમિયાન આ સામગ્રીનું દાન કર્યું હતું. આ કાર્યક્રમ પછી, આ સંગ્રહને સત્તાવાર દાન પ્રક્રિયા હેઠળ પટ્ટણી આર્કાઇવ્સમાં ઔપચારિક રીતે હસ્તગત કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
