How to Navigate the Timeline

• Zoom in to explore a specific time event in detail, or zoom out to see the bigger picture of the archive’s development.

• Use the left/right arrows or drag your mouse or finger (on touch devices) to scroll through different years.

• Scroll up/down with your mouse wheel (or pinch on mobile) to zoom in or out for a closer or broader view of the timeline.

• Most events contain text with hyperlinks. Click on the highlighted words within the text to know more.

• Look out for icons indicating video clips, click them to learn more.

• For the best experience, mobile users rotate your phone to landscape mode.

• If you’re looking for something specific (e.g. a program, exhibition, or year), try scanning through the white timeline markers below to locate it quickly.

• Timeline events are color-coded by years.
