Barton Library Essay/Drawing Competition 

We (students of the Department of English, MKBU, Bhavnagar) had a wonderful experience on August 12, 2023, participating in an Essay Competition at Barton Library. This library, one of the oldest in Bhavnagar, organized the event to celebrate National Librarian Day or National Library Day. Our experience there was fantastic as we wrote around 250 words about the Importance of the Library. During the event, we were given the opportunity to speak on stage about our experiences, and I shared a brief talk. Upasna recited a Gujarati poem she had written on the stage. Dhatri Parmar and Riya Bhatt respectively secured the First and Second prizes. Congratulations to both of them and to everyone who participated, showcasing their writing talents. A big thank you to the organizers and all the volunteers who managed the event bravely.
