Specific Intervention: Deep Breathing
Diagnosis & Population: Diagnosis of anxiety in all ages.
Purpose: Encourages the body to relax and keeps your mind in the present instead of in wandering thoughts.
Rationale & Impact on Function: Calming and helps relax the body which can help decrease stress and anxiety. In any environment where stress/anxiety arises, taking proper deep breaths can quiet your mind.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a cycle of obsessions and compulsions that cause significant impact to daily life. Obsessions are recurrent, persistent thoughts that are intrusive and unwanted that cause distress. Compulsions are repetitive behaviors that the individual feels they must perform in response to thoughts. These acts are done in order to decrease distress.
Intervention: Thought Challenging Worksheet
Diagnosis & Population: Adolescents aged 10-19 and young adults. Most helpful in individuals diagnosed with OCD/Anxiety.
Purpose: To learn more about why specific thoughts are occurring and how to address them in an appropriate way so that they can be reversed to positive and rationale thoughts.
Rational & Impact on Function: Helps population that struggle with negative thoughts and need to rationalize those thoughts and feelings as to why they are happening.
