Lying on the plains between the Guardian Tropics and the Khartoum Desert, the district of Okacho is one of the smaller regions of the Empire. Lead by the Huayllas House, this is a more modern leaning region with a focus on preserving traditional values and serving the community. In fact, the Huayllas House has established some of the leading programs when it comes to the rehabilitation of criminals and drug addicts.
Okacho itself, lies on a fertile stretch of land between Lake Mesmorre and a river, it excels in agriculture and livestock. This fertile river valley also allows incredible foliage, greenery, and flora to bloom throughout the year in the sub tropical to tropical climate. Okacho is also the leading expert when it comes to refined fabrics and traditional clothing.
The city has a rather small-town, urban feel, with well preserved traditional buildings scattered throughout the district, as well as ancient ruins. With its gorgeous landscape and greenery, it's a very attractive area.
Housing a gorgeous collection of waterfalls that collect into a river valley, Kybelle's Tears is the name given to the main river of the Empire. Nearly all rivers of the entire continent connect into this main river, and collect into a giant torrent of mist and falls as they reach the district of Okacho.
The falls range in intensity depending on the current season, with spring rains causing the river to swell and flood in certain areas.
While there are no active communities present here, it is a popular tourist destination and camping area.
A beautiful lake encircled by mountains, Lake Mesmorre is just to the north of Okacho. It is a stunningly clear pool of water, with a blanket of green forests off in the distance. Many wealthy families vacation here in the winter to avoid the cooler northern climates.
There are smaller, more traditional roaming settlements that rotate periodically through the area. Like the caravans of Khartoum, they aren't ones to stay in the same place for too long.
The lake is rumored to have super natural properties, and there is common talk of some sort of monster living in it's waters.
Laid between Lake Mesmorre and the Coral Sea, the Sun Wolf Stretch is a wide plain of land, full of incredible foliage and fauna. Named after the goddess Anami, the plain stretches for kilometers, looking as if it kisses the very horizon.
The plain is a mix of desert and grassland, with several small settlements scattered across it's surface. The communities are famous for their traditional dye work and local artistry with gemstones and other natural resources. Sculptures carved from wood are also incredibly common.
A series of interconnected islands just off the coast of Okacho, the Dolphin Keys intermingle with the Isles of Ebony and the Coral Sea. It has vividly painted architecture in it's tropical climate, with a very colorful and inviting atmosphere.
There are numerous settlements scattered across the island chain, which plays host to a well-to-do fishing operation and tourist destination.
There are some less safe locations across the islands however, it is a popular hot spot for the drug trade, piracy, and gang activity.
