Ruled by the Yamagata Family, the main island of the Star Isles is referred to as Star Central. It is a mountainous area with lush forests and beautiful marsh plains. It is bordered by the famous Sea of Stars and Bensu Basin, which give the island it's name. The unique environment causes bioluminescent algae blooms to cover the shores, giving the impression the beach is littered with fallen stars.
The city is a mix of traditional and modern design, with an emphasis on historical preservation in these modern times. Some say this is due to the Isle of Stars being hit the hardest after the Doctrine War. The locals refuse to lose that much history and knowledge ever again.
The main trade of the district is processing, most other districts ship their raw materials here to be refined into their final forms or a more marketable item. That's not to say the Isle of Stars doesn't export its own goods, they are remarkable artisans. This district has produced ceramics, clothing, and jewelry for centuries.
A more arid island than a tropical one, Samdado shares it's space with it's sister island Misukon. The island hosts multiple swamps, forests and plains, with storms rolling in periodically from Bensu Basin.
The city has a more traditional approach to it's architecture, but there are more modern areas scattered around it's streets. Samdado itself specializes in refining raw materials and processing them into their marketable forms. Factories are rather common because of this.
Samdado isn't as old as other cities in the Empire, which is why it lacks the ruins so common in other parts of the region.
An elegant and ancient city carved into a mountain side, Misukon is the oldest area in the entire Isle of Stars. It's a very mountainous island, with a sub tropical climate most of the year.
It's theorized that Misukon's high peaks and mountain chains keep the monsoons from reaching Samdado, causing the twin island's more arid and dry climate.
The island has multiple pool and spring areas, with fresh clear water carving through most of the mountains. It is truly a breath taking landscape with gorgeous greenery.
Based primarily on a swampy river delta, the Misty Glades are one half of a twin city with Nightwalk. The glades are considered the slower of the cities, primarily specializing in fishing and agriculture due to their rural environment.
Boating is the main method of transportation when it comes to the Misty Glades. Multiple canals and waterways interconnect across the city before flowing into the main marshes.
The city is rather famous for it's cuisine and local alcohol, and can be considered quite the tourist trap during the vacation season.
While it's more rural twin city, Misty Glades, is able to attract visitors with it's picture perfect postcard landscapes and food, Nightwalk isn't to be taken lightly. This seaside city is the leading player when it comes to exciting nightlife and the entertainment industry.
Nightwalk is famous for it's music and film stars, and is a very popular tourist destination. It hosts multiple festivals and events every year, capturing the Empire's attention as being the "IT" place to be.
It's also rather well known for it's fashion and design industry. Fashion shows are frequently held here and it hosts several art universities.
A relatively deep ocean basin that has multiple deep water currents rushing through it. The frigid nutrient rich waters are constantly churned up to the surface, cause bioluminescent algae and red algae to bloom regularly, along with birthing heavy storms and mists.
Due to this, most beaches in the Isle of Stars either glow at night or are covered in red seaweed.
The nutrient rich waters and strong currents don't just make the beaches beautiful though, they also provide an excellent environment for fish, which is a popular economic trade.
