The oldest city that is still active in the Guardian Tropics is it's capital, known simply as Guardian City. Run by the Joshi Family, the Guardian Tropics is one of the larger districts in the empire, and has the most ruined cities and temples.
The local jungle is dense and humid, and hides many ancient cities of stone that have been reclaimed by the surrounding flora and fauna. There are many grand rivers, streams, swamps, and lakes that cut through the dense jungle the district is famous for.
The Joshi Family is one of the more religious Noble Houses, a trait that is reflected in the majority of the population. Guardian City and the surrounding district have innumerable shrines, ritual sites, and temples to the gods.
In fact, the area is famous for it's elaborate festivals and religious ceremonies that date back for centuries. They are theorized to predate the great Doctrine War.
Cradled in between a mountain canyon, Basilisk's Grove is host to cliff side vistas, homes, and waterfalls. While the mythical snake that gave the canyon it's name no longer can be found in the area, it is still a truly magical place.
Depending on whether it's the warm or dry season, the foliage can vary from bright green and full to sparse and brown. The valley has a tropical and humid environment, with heavy mists in the mornings.
The canyon valley has several religious monuments and ritual sites of old that local archeologists have studied in depth.
In between the Emerald Straights and the Sea of Stars lies the bay entrance to the Guardian Tropics. This gateway is known as the Dragon's Gulf, although Dragons no longer make their homes here.
The bay itself is rather large, with multiple townships and settlements along it's shores. Dragon's Gulf has clear, turquoise hued water. Due to it's tropical environment, the bay is surrounded by jungles and thick vegetation.
Located on a heavily jungled mesa, Kitale is boarded by a large and deep river, which makes boating a poplar form of transportation. The city itself is famous for it's intricate mosaic and stone work, and elaborate floating gardens.
Kitale is one of the newer cities of the Guardian Tropics, only being just over 75 years old. What it lacks in history it more than makes up in a luxury filled market and lavish lifestyle.
Artisans and trade workers of all kinds tend to flock to this city in droves in hopes to apprentice under a master.
On the western edge of the Guardian Tropics, lies the settlement of Hudera. It is one of the older cities of the tropics, hosting a large fort which is crumbling into the sea. The city is rather modern despite it's older age, and has a thriving underground party ring run by the youth.
The city is famous for its pharmaceutical development, having multiple labs devoted to the development of medical based drugs. The underground drug ring is also localized to the general area due to the popular botanical trade.
While Hudera tends to get written off as a tropical, party city, it has contributed immensely in the pursuit of Arcane based medicine.
Located in the mountainous region of the Guardian Tropics, the Veridian Jungle is an incredibly hot, humid, and vibrantly green area. It is famous for it's tiered vistas and terraces in order to build into the mountain side.
The wet and dry seasons actually don't affect this region much at all, it manages to stay vibrant and lush with tropical greenery no matter the time of year.
It's main exports is of precious gems, gold, and other metals, nearly rivaling the mines of Kestramore.
Located in the marshy area of the Guardian Tropics is the area known as the Celestial Swamp. It's a humid and hot location with thick underbrush along the many rivers running through the swamp.
There are several older cities here that manage to resist the brutal humidity and heat. They are carved from stone and intricately designed with many arches and pools.
They have rather large farms that focus on sugar production. They also have farms that produce cocoa, banana, citrus, and spices.
The second largest bay in the Guardian Tropics, the Emerald Cove is a stone cliff beach with many elaborate cave systems. The caves are lush and filled with incredible flora and fauna, unique to their own ecosystem. There are also several pools of fresh water and springs that are rumored to have Arcane properties.
There are several settlements and towns along the coast, built by using impressive masonry and stone work. The townships themselves are quite old, having several monuments and ruins along the coast.
Along the rocky coastline of the Emerald Straights lies an area known to the locals as Hidden Beach. It's a stunningly gorgeous location, covered with ancient temples, ritual sites, and ruins. There are many motifs and carvings etched into the rock walls surrounding the area.
The water is warm all year-round, with an incredible emerald hue to it. The sand is normally clean and white, with shell fragments mixed in.
While the area is less populated than most, there are several smaller villages along the coastline that live in elaborate canopy treehouses.
