Hello Parents and Students,

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wax Museum: Please make sure your child is practicing their wax museum speech each night! Please make sure your child is practicing their wax museum speech each night! Also, students should be gathering items for their costume to prepare for their presentation. The final performance will be on Tuesday, June 9th from 10:45-11:45 in the MPR.

Open House: You are all invited to come visit our classroom and see some of the work your child has done throughout the school year! Open House is this Wednesday, May 27th, from 6:15-7:15. I hope to see you all there!

Book Fair: Our final book fair of the school year is this week. Our class will be visiting the Book Fair on Thursday, May 28th at 9:30. The book fair will also be open during Open House in the Makerspace.

OUR WEEK AT A GLANCE

Math: We will continue to review math concepts throughout the school year.

Reader's Workshop:  This week students will be wrapping up their Book report and Biome project in preparation for Open House. Students will also begin working on their end of the school year's memory books. We will finish our final reading assessments of the year. Students will be reading and answering questions to determine their reading level. 

Writer's Workshop: This week, students will begin writing their rough draft bio-poem about themselves. 

REMINDERS

• Daily 20 reading log due on Friday, with a parent/grown up signature

• Sign communicator daily

• House Shirts every Thursday 

• Hawk Spirit Day every Friday
