I am so happy to be back at Tierra Linda! This is my sixth year teaching third grade at TL and I feel incredibly lucky to continue learning and growing alongside such amazing students, families, and staff.
I moved to Ventura County over ten years ago and quickly fell in love with the area. I live with my husband, our son, and our cat. Outside of school, I love a good book, sparkling water, spending time with my family, and pretty much anything involving animals!
I should have known I wanted to be a teacher when I was five years old. My father built me a playhouse, and I immediately turned it into a schoolhouse for my friends. My path to teaching took a few different turns, beginning with my studies in psychology, where I became fascinated by the early years of life and how children learn and grow. I went on to work in child development centers and preschools, where I discovered my love for teaching.
From there, I worked as a Registered Behavior Therapist with a diverse population of young children in their homes, schools, and communities. After earning my Master’s Degree, I found my way back to the classroom, where I have had the privilege of teaching amazing third graders throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
I am so grateful to be back at Tierra Linda and look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together!
