Rules of Roleplay
First and foremost, act like an adult. Treat each other OOCly fairly. WE DO NOT DO DRAMA!
No metagaming, no godmodding, no powergaming. You should know what this is! If not look it up!
Post order should be followed in smaller scenes. In group or event roleplay, post as you can. It is polite to wait for a round before posting in and to not acknowledge anyone that hasn't posted in. If you walked into a gunfight, for instance, it may not be clear through avatar animations when you stepped in. Waiting for those players to post a round, gives you an indication of the scene you're walking into. Not posting at a player until they have posted into the scene, also allows them to post their current situation. If you immediately give a big smile and wave to Jane walking into the scene, but she posts in with she is covered in blood and wounded... you probably wouldn't have given a big smile and wave. In events, this is not necessary, post at will.
Another courtesy in roleplay: If you are in a large scene and you post to someone, give them a head's up in an IM that you did mention them or approach them. This helps tremendously when we miss a keyword alert or don't have them on. No one wants to miss your post at them, I promise, we're all here for Roleplay with one another. No one wants to feel ignored (OOCly, ignore icly with roleplay as you wish) and that will clear up any hurt feelings.
In a few rare circumstances, a one-liner roleplay is acceptable, however this is a semi to para Roleplay sim. We are happy to help those that might like to learn a bit about semi-para RP or if you're new to roleplay.
No bling, facelights, gestures, particle griefers, etc or heavily scripted attachments
If you have a situation, try to work it out together in IM politely. If no resolution or before things start to get heated, then bring it to staff. Voids cannot be decided on by players if others could be involved. So ask before a void unless it's a very contained Roleplay. Do not lose your cool during mediation, we are all trying for the same outcome, one that is fair and based solely on IC interaction.
NO faction, home, or group can be attacked if they are not on sim and available to roleplay. Please check in with the faction lead before attempting any damage. NPC guards can only be rolled on for success with the permission of the NPC's owner or a staff member (rare) and there are always NPCs around. No faction should consistently deny attacks or conflict, that is not in the fairness of the 'game'. We want fair conflict with parties present, we're here to Roleplay after all!
Your background in your application, is just what happened before. While it can place you in power or prestige, your roleplay decides if you keep it there. Skills should be mentioned in the backstory!
We are tired of trash-talking other players in the world of Roleplay. Judge people on what they do now, not what someone swears they did elsewhere. Remember, everyone has bad days and one fouled moment shouldn't hurt a potential roleplay interaction.
No child-like avatars. This is an adult-rated sim. You must be 18+ to play and your character needs to appear to be 18+. If not, you will be asked to age up your appearance or leave.
Do not AFK in public areas.
No items that spam local chat such as tummy talkers, pets, vehicles, etc.
On an admin approved basis, some realistic animal roleplayers may be allowed. Please check in with staff or submit an application for someone to reach out to you.
Horses and other realistic animal scripted prims can be used, please keep the use to the scene and be wary of lag it causes.
When creating your backstory, please be sure to include flaws and weaknesses in your character. No one is all-powerful, unbeatable and the best at everything.
NO PUGS. There will be no pugs of any sort allowed on sim at any time! Kidding. Kind of. Ask Skye!
