The Co-Op is a new group to Mercy, though there have always been healers and doctors in town, they haven't been able to grasp the medical advances those from the Tower have. Surgery was more butchering at best, childbirth was a very possible death sentence and infections from wounds proved hard to fight. Throw in a bout of cholera or flu outbreak, the doctors at Mercy did all they could to save lives with little success when situations were dire. The Tower medical and technical staff have been researching, practicing and growing their abilities and medicines with far more advanced materials at their hands. They have been able to hone their skills in surgery consistently and made advances in bridging the gaps they could with the new society they had. Yet, they might not know how well an apothecary for mild to moderate situations can be or how well a doctor in the trenches of Mercy these past years can still work miracles. The Co-Op was established with the influx of the upper Tower people and took over the old theater-turned hospital that the few doctors in Mercy worked from. The lead from the Tower requested a co-lead to speak for the town in council meetings while she would handle the leadership of the faction outside of that with them.
The Co-Op is open to anyone with medical skills, research abilities and the few that might know something about technology that came from the Tower. Many have held on to old devices in hopes one day they can use them again and the best chance at repair would be from the Co-Op.
