Grammar Note: Some professions in Spanish have a masculine and feminine form, indicating the gender of the person performing the job.
When a word ends in
-O, it is usually masculine. - Example: ingeniero - a male engineer
-A, it is usually feminine. - Example: ingeniera - a female engineer
-E, it could be either. - Example: asistente de vuelo - either a male or female flight attendant. Sometimes there is also a form for femenine with A, and the E is used only in the masculine form, for historical reasons.
