AGREEING WITH SOMEONE'S OPINION - ME TOO / ME NEITHER

(A mí ) Me gusta mucho el chocolate caliente. - I like hot chocolate a lot.

A mí también - Me too.

(A mí ) Me gustan las ciudades. - I like cities.

A mí también. - Me too.

(A mí) No me gusta el café - I don't like coffee

A mí tampoco - Me neither

Grammar tip: The phrase A mí también (me too) and A mí tampoco (me neither) can be used with either singular or plural nouns.

Grammar Note: Sentence and Question Structures - Long Forms:

You might hear some Spanish speakers use the longer form to make declarative statements or ask questions.

A mí me gusta... / A mi me gustan.... - A mí me gusta el café. (I like coffee.) A mi me gustan los deportes. (I like sports).

¿A ti te gusta... / ¿A ti te gustan....? - ¿A ti te gusta el café? (Do you like coffee?). ¿A ti te gustan los deportes? (Do you like sports?)

¿A usted le gusta... / ¿A usted le gustan...? - ¿A usted le gusta el café? (Do you like coffee?). ¿A usted le gustan los deportes? (Do you like sports?) - Notice the use of "le" instead of "te" for the formal you pronoun "usted." You will also use "le" with the pronouns he (él) and she (ella).

¿A él le gusta... / ¿A él le gustan...? - ¿A él le gusta el café? (Does he like coffee?) ¿A él le gustan los deportes? (Does he like sports?)

¿A ella le gusta... / ¿A ella le gustan...? - ¿A ella le gusta el café? (Does she like coffee?) ¿A ella le gustan los deportes? (Does she like sports?)

¿A + [person's name] + le gusta... / ¿A + [person's name] le gustan....? - ¿A Adriana le gusta el café? (Does Adriana like coffee?) ¿A Ana le gustan los deportes? (Does Ana like sports?)
