Pronunciation of the letter Ñ

This is a Spanish letter not found in English. To make the sound of the letter, try first saying the English word "onion" and notice the "nio" sound. Press your tongue a little harder against the roof of your palate to make the sound of the Ñ. Common Spanish words are niña, niño, señor, señora, señorita, mañana, años, cumpleaños and, of course, jalapeño .
