Chapter 4.4 - class activities

Class Activity #1:

PART A) Open the "Basic Phrases - Spanish List."

Write down 5 of the basic Spanish phrases (in Spanish). Then, walk around the class and ask your classmates the question ¿Cómo se dice.... en inglés ? (How do you say....in English?)

Example: ¿Cómo se dice "No se" en inglés?

PART B) Open the "Basic Phrases - English List."

Select 5 phrases and write them down (in English). Then, walk around the class and ask your classmates to tell you how to say them in Spanish.

Ask them the question, ¿Cómo se dice.... en español? (How do you say...in Spanish?)

Example: ¿Cómo se dice "I speak a little bit of Spanish" en español?

Class Activity #2

Get together with one of your classmates and practice saying these words:

gente, generoso, generosa, gimnasio, papel higiénico, agua, lengua materna, paraguas, antiguo, antigua, igualmente, gusto. guerra, guiso guía, siguiente, vergüenza, bilingüe, pingüino, jueves, jugar, juego, joven, jalapeño.
