LA Program Description
How was the program started?
The LA program started as a collaboration with University of Colorado Boulder. The goal was two-fold:
increase the number of K-12 STEM education majors by recruiting students while they are enrolled in community college.
increase pass rates in introductory math and science courses.
How is the program administered?
One coordinator housed in the department of mathematics administers the program.
How is the program funded?
The program is funded under the National Science Foundation, Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program.
Future plans for expansion?
We are looking to expand our program to two other FRCC campuses located in Westminster and Fort Collins, and have those campuses partner with local four-year universities.
