As we have reached the end of this course, we have tried different types and topics for simultaneous interpretation. I got to realize that it is not an easy job and it takes a lot of practice and effort to be a good interpreter. The one project that really still gives me a headache is the scientific one since there are many words that are more technical than the previous projects. Also, it contained a lot of transposition phrases were many adjectives were mentioned and my brain got confused.
One thing that I would have liked for the subject to be more realistic is for us to try interpretation on the booth using tools like the microphones and earphones. Even still, I really liked how I got to get hands-on practice for this course. I really hope that all these projects and practices may get me more motivated to keep on practicing and face these challenges as an interpreter.
