Changes in the climate, the level of the sea and the duration of the days even are between the consequences of which the Earth nucleus turns now slower.
The investigators of Institute of Geophysical Applied Theoretics and of the University of Beijing, (Chinese) nor knew that they were going away to find with a phenomenon thus. They didn't even guess. It is more: instead of looking for the speed with which it turns the Earth nucleus, was investigating in the nature of earthquakes.
Although it is certain that they were investigating the Earth entrails, the center was not indeed the gigantic iron sphere that in center rests of the planet. This body, to more than 5 thousand kilometers of depth, is as hot as the surface of the Sun, and it is in charge to generate Earth's magnetic field.
Without him, therefore, the Earth life as we know it would not be possible. Now, the speed with which turns has slowed down. These are the foreseeable consequences for terrestrial biosphere.
Changes in the climate, sea level and even the length of the days are among the consequences of the slower spin of the Earth's core now.
Researchers from the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Geophysics of Peking University, (China) did not know that they would encounter such a phenomenon. They didn't even suppose it. What's more: instead of looking for the speed with which the Earth's core rotates, they were investigating the nature of earthquakes.
Although it is true that they were investigating the bowels of the Earth, the focus was not exactly the gigantic iron sphere that rests in the center of the planet. This body, more than 5 thousand kilometers deep, is as hot as the surface of the Sun, and is responsible for generating the Earth's magnetic field.

The Earth heart stopped?
The terrestrial nucleus is one sphere of 1.200 meters of diameter that it floats in an almost pure iron sea. Naturally, this sphere broken on its own axis, as well as the Earth. For that reason, the leaders of the study - Yi Yang and Xiaodong Song- solved the enigma of inner S.A. of our planet was another different planet, like matrioskas Russian.
The ‘planet’ inside the Earth is responsible for generating the magnetic field that protects us from cosmic radiation. Around this revolving sphere is the terrestrial mantle, that the blanket completely. Every 900 years, approximately, the nucleus gives one more a return than the rest of the planet.
In agreement with the observations of Xiadong Song, andsto must to that the Moon more and more moves away of us. This causes that the tides change and, thus, that the Earth rotation is also altered. Consequently, the days are more and more short - although we do not realize, because the difference is of thousandth of second.
In 2009, when analyzing seismic waves in the South Sandwich Islands, the researcher noticed that the Earth's core slowed down:
"SEEN FROM SPACE, THE CORE ROTATES AT PRACTICALLY THE SAME PACE AS THE REST OF THE PLANET. BUT FROM THE POINT DE VISTA OF THE SURFACE, WHERE THEY ARE THE SEISMIC STATIONS, THE NUCLEUS TOUR NOW IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION; TOWARDS THE WEST”, IT EXPLAINS SONG A THE COUNTRY .
It seems to be that the phenomenon repeats every 70 years, says the specialist, since a similar phenomenon happened in 1970. But, what implies this for the life as we know it in the present time?
Has the heart of the Earth stopped?
The Earth's core is a sphere 1,200 meters in diameter that floats in a sea of almost pure iron. Naturally, this sphere rotates on its own axis, just like the Earth. For this reason, the leaders of the study —Yi Yang and Xiaodong Song— solved the enigma of whether there was a different planet inside our planet, like the Russian matryoshkas.
The 'planet' inside the Earth is responsible for generating the magnetic field that protects us from cosmic radiation. Around this rotating sphere is the terrestrial mantle, which covers it completely. Every 900 years or so, the core goes around one more time than the rest of the planet.
According to Xiadong Song's observations, this is because the Moon is getting further and further away from us. This causes the tides to change and thus the rotation of the Earth to change as well. Consequently, the days are getting shorter —although we don't realize it, because the difference is only thousandths of a second.
In 2009, when analyzing seismic waves in the South Sandwich Islands, the researcher realized that the Earth's core slowed down:
“VIEWED FROM SPACE, THE CORE ROTATES AT ALMOST THE SAME PACE AS THE REST OF THE PLANET. BUT FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE SURFACE, WHERE THE SEISMIC STATIONS ARE, THE CORE ROTATES NOW IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION; TO THE WEST”, SONG EXPLAINS TO EL PAÍS.
It seems that the phenomenon is repeated every 70 years, says the specialist, since a similar phenomenon occurred in 1970. But what does this imply for life as we know it today?
So that the rotation of the terrestrial nucleus stopped?
Until now, it seems to be that the phenomenon arises by the dinámica gravitational that keeps the Earth with its only natural satellite. However, the study by Peking University ensures that this phenomenon will have global consequences. With regard to why the rotation of the Earth's core is being encouraged, the researchers appeal to a dynamic widely studied since the 1990s:
“THINKS THAT THE ROTATION DIFFERENTIAL OF THE INTERNAL NUCLEUS DE THE EARTH IN RELATION TO THE MANTLE HAPPENS UNDER THE EFFECTS OF THE GEODINAMO IN THE DYNAMICS OF THE NUCLEUS AND THE GRAVITATIONAL CONNECTION OF THE NUCLEUS AND THE MANTLE”.
In agreement with the investigation, published recently in Nature Geoscience, this rotation has been inferred by the changes between repeated seismic waves. The pattern has been moderate from 1990, particularly with seismic in Alaska and the doublets in the Islands Sandwich of the South. According to the most recent detections, the authors detected that the terrestrial nucleus stopped.
The authors attribute to this change to “gravitational connection and at the moment angular interchange from the nucleus and the mantle to the surface”. Between the most remarkable consequences, are the following phenomena:
The days could be shorter (only by a few per seconds)
Changes in the magnetic field
Subtle modifications in the global climate
Even so, it can that the human beings and the other species that we inhabited in the terrestrial surface we do not perceive these alterations. They will be minimum, but they will be appraised in all the planet.
Why did the rotation of the Earth's core stop?
Until now, it seems that the phenomenon arises from the gravitational dynamics that the Earth maintains with its only natural satellite. However, the Peking University study ensures that this phenomenon will have global consequences. As to why the rotation of the Earth's core is slowing down, the researchers appeal to a dynamic that has been widely studied since the 1990s:
"DIFFERENTIAL ROTATION OF EARTH'S INNER CORE RELATED TO THE MANTLE IS BELIEVED TO OCCUR UNDER THE EFFECTS OF GEODYNAMO ON CORE DYNAMICS AND GRAVITATIONAL COUPLING OF CORE AND MANTLE."
According to research, recently published in Nature Geoscience, this rotation has been inferred from changes between repeated seismic waves. The pattern has been measured since 1990, particularly with seismic records in Alaska and doublets in the South Sandwich Islands. Based on the most recent detections, the authors detected that the Earth's core stopped.
The authors attribute this change to "gravitational coupling and angular momentum exchange from the core and mantle to the surface." Among the most notable consequences are the following phenomena:
Days could be shorter (only by a few seconds)
Changes in the magnetic field
Subtle changes in the global climate
Even so, human beings and other species that inhabit the earth's surface may not perceive these alterations. They will be minimal, but they will be appreciated throughout the planet.

For this second project, I used Wordfast Anywhere and Google Translate to differentiate their translations. At the beginning, I had quite some expectations from Wordfast Anywhere as it is known to be one of the best CAT tools. However, I got very disappointed when I got the results of the translation. It may be because it is the first project I do with this tool and there is not a glossary created, but it still not give me a good result since even the grammar is wrong in many ways. In the other hand, Google Translate has an almost perfect translation. But, sometimes I would prefer using a more accurate term for some words so that they can fit better context-wise.
In addition to what is mentioned above, both of them had the same problem as the previous project I did: they did not capitalize the title of the article correctly.
