Now we have seen and finished all the projects that have been worked on during this quarter. It has been interesting to work on them, both on Sites and on Moodle, because it wasn't only translating words. It made me think more about the techniques that I used when translating and why the one I chose was best suited.
Among all the projects I worked on, the one I liked the most was the one about the Bible translation. It was interesting how the English New International Version could have words that meant something different compared to the Spanish Nueva Traducción Viviente version. I also liked project 2 (literary translation) because I could see how differently one same idea could be expressed.
In conclusion, I liked how this course made me analyze the different ways one thing can be translated, that not only one way is the correct way. Also it made me be more open-minded and think outside the box so that I could transmit the message in a creative way and not stick to the literal meaning of the source text. I think this course is very good in general and I don't think there is anything to be improved.
