The Landing

The Landing features eighteen Canadian Geese in flight positions coming in for a landing. Each feather was cut out, highlighted and shaded with inks, fused and stitched in place. The landscape includes thread painted fir trees and the mountain was constructed using bits of fabric. The sky was painted to match the picture. An elongated flame stitch using many different colors of thread was machine quilted overall.
