Feathers and Farms

Feathers and Farms was inspired by a pheasant that was in my yard one afternoon. I decided to feature old barns, a windmill, furrowed fields, and fences. The field was constructed using a soft edge technique. The rows were fused with frayed edges to give it a soft look. The barbed wire was made by painting a cotton cording and the bushes and grasses were thread painted. The pheasants were constructed separately one feather at a time.
