The End of the Line

My family and I salmon fish on the Oregon coast for two months every summer. During one season I found an old boat yard where dry docked boats were being repaired, auctioned off, or scraped for parts. I took pictures, made drawing, and patterns of several of the old boats. From there I constructed the boats one board at a tme using heat distressed paints. The small details of the buoys, old cans, gears, ladders, and tires were very fun to make. And since my husband and sons are fishermen I had to get all of the rigging just right. Several soaring seagulls completed the project.
