Philip got up at 06h15 to do a 10km run along the clean white beach of Struisbaai. He could not believe that he had blisters on the end of his toes after running the distance barefoot (Why barefoot, for heavens sake?).
We had a long drive through to Tietiesbaai via the Langebaan Nature Reserve. Tietiesbay is a small Nature Reserve south of Paternoster.
We did not see much wild life but the Langebaan Lake is beautiful.
Langebaan is a popular site for Kite Surfing due to the consistent wind.
We arrived in Tietiesbaai at about 16h30 and setup camp as the wind was blowing and getting colder as the sun dropped to the horizon. By 20h00, the sun set below the horizon and the temperature dropped further so we climbed into the roof-top tent where it was warm and cosy.
The campsite was on the water’s edge – Beautiful.
