We drove through to friends of ours, Mike and Elsie, in Gaborone. We have been looking for a replacement air-vent for George for some time. When we arrived in Gaborone, we stopped at several second-hand parts dealers, but to no avail. We had just about given up hope when we were referred to “British Off-Road”. Philip duly instructed Gypsy to take us there. When we arrived, they pointed Philip in the direction of one of Georges’ grandfathers where he proceeded to strip out the required air-vent cover for which he paid next to nothing compared to a new one!
I do not think anyone can beat Mike and Elsie’s wonderful warm hospitality and friendship. We ate like kings and sat until 23h00 chatting before retiring to bed.
