The One Series where You Must Be Good at Names… and Kanji – Death Note 2006

I'd definitely have a problem if I was a character in this series since I'm terrible with names... Anyway! I'm sure many of you are familiar with the anime and manga Death Note, where the protagonist finds a notebook called the Death Note that is capable of killing anyone whose name is written there, as long as whoever writes the name knows what the person looks like. I like it. The protagonist then proceeds to try to create a better world by killing criminals... But is this the right way to do it? Get more information about this article.

I discovered this series many years ago reading the manga, which I loved. Too bad I didn't imagine that they had also made movies! And no, I'm not talking about the one Netflix does. They made a lousy adaptation of the series, and it's not at all a good idea to watch it. Fortunately, there are two older movies that are amazing adaptations of the manga. Surprised by my findings, I proceeded to observe them, also inviting my dad to this new adventure. I only knew the series by name and had never read or watched anything about it. I can say that we were not disappointed! Now, let's move on to the actual reviews. You can find the versions I wrote right after watching them on MyDramalist.

As a fan of the manga, it is true that this movie changed some details, but it manages to capture the atmosphere of the manga. I'm not entirely sure about the actor chosen for Light, although he definitely improved throughout the film. Even my father was not a fan of his choice of actor. Still, I understand why he was chosen. Does he look a bit like someone from a boy band? Or maybe it's just me. L's actor did a great job of making me envious of his food XD, and he was the most like the original character. I'm still trying to figure out why Misa has black hair now, but I guess they wanted to have a more natural look. Please, Misa, give me your recipes! Also, Ryuk looked a bit fake, but who cares about that. My dad loved his character as he is a fan of horror movies.
