The God of High School Episode 13: Recap and Review

In the final episode of the first season of The God of High School, Jegal becomes God. His only opposition is Jin Mori, Han Daewi, and Yu Mira. Jegal attacks Mira first and throws her at Daewi. The two made a valiant effort, but ultimately failed. This episode was always going to be a showdown between Jin and Jegal. Enraged by the attack on his friends Daewi, Mira, Ilpyo, Seungah and his sister, Jin snaps. He uses pressure points. However, it is not enough. Jegal still has the use of the Charyeok from him and uses an energy lance to try and kill Jin. Daewi takes the hit, triggering Jin's ascension to God status. He always assumed that Jin would get a Charyeok like everyone else. It turns out that he is a God, the Monkey King. Read more information about this article.

Journey to the West has inspired anime for decades, most notably the Dragon Ball series. Unlike most series, Jin is directly inspired by Sun Wukong. He makes use of the Nyoibo, changing size and shape as he swings it to good effect. Jin overpowers Jegal and unleashes a devastating beam. Jegal transforms into a grotesque monster that attacks Mira, Daewi, and Jin. Ilpyo joins them. Activating his Charyeok, Mira, Daewi, and Ilpyo join Jin for a group assault. Jegal disappears, leaving behind a fragment of the key. Our trio gets his wish. Jin wishes to restore the physical bodies of the fighters. The rest of the episode sets up the upcoming season. Jin, Daewi, and Mira will head to Seiten Taisei's homeland to retrieve their memories.

What will Jin face next?

Ilpyo is the keeper of the key and must travel the world to collect all the pieces. Finally, Jin's "grandfather" is still trapped by Nox. The episode ends with him wishing Jin luck against the gods, fate, and himself. It's not clear what that means, but I think Jin's grandfather will become the final villain. The God of High School joins Tower of God as a manwha adapted series that made an impact this year. The god of high school had the problems of him. Many of the details have been left out of this season. Why are "the Six" so powerful and who are they? Why did the United States get involved? How does the Charyeok system work? There were also pacing issues. Many episodes had too many things going on at once, which made it confusing. Regardless, The God of High School was a good anime series, and I'm looking forward to the next season.
