  • At least 8 short video clips, about a subject, uploaded to a YouTube playlist on your es-cat.org account

  • A web page (example) on your Google Site titled "Video Production" with a link to the YouTube playlist

  • In the next lesson, you will take your clips and edit them to make a movie about your subject

How do I make it?

  1. Safety first! Always practice safe videography - survival and health of all involved are paramount.

Steps

  1. Think of a theme or subject for your movie. It could start with an object - stuffed animal adventure? Or be based on a person you know (who has your consent / permission). A pet?

  2. Get a variety of shots (8+) about your subject - more than you need - with good framing, stability, focus, lighting, audio

  3. Watch your clips. Delete ones you don't want. But you need at least 8 different ones. (Re-shoot if you need to)

  4. Go to YouTube while signed into es-cat.org, and upload your video clips there

  5. Add each clip to a YouTube playlist (call it something like DMA1, or name it after your subject.)

  6. Copy the link to the YouTube playlist with your clips

  7. Make a new Google Site page called "Video Production"

  8. Paste the link to the YouTube playlist at the top of the page.

  9. Write about what you learned about video production from this assignment...

    • About Cinematography - types of shots - camera positions, angles, moves

    • About Video Production - techniques, getting footage, camera features

  10. Publish, click the chain-link icon, get the Link to your page, Copy that link, turn that in in Google Classroom

  • 3/B = Do all the steps, 8 different video clips of same subject, better information about what you learned

  • 2/C = Do all the steps, 8 different video clips of same subject, basic information about what you learned
