Georgia is a country located at the intersection of Europe and Asia, which was a Soviet republic. It is home to villages in the Caucasus Mountains and beaches on the Black Sea. It is famous for Vardzia, a vast cave monastery dating back to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region of Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is famous for its diverse architecture and its maze-like cobblestone streets in the old city.
