June 2022
A week has passed and now this month’s workshop is done! Students were enthusiastic to share their ideas with the two studios and gladly, they were walking the right path. Some of them were already sure of what problem they were going to give a solution to through design, and some were still on the brink of trying to know what they could do to make a difference with their designs. Nonetheless, these students had a very productive workshop for the month as they can come together to brainstorm ideas, pitch in good interactive designs, and get consultations. This workshop would help these students to get more practice and experience of being a designer and learn more about different skills they could use in their future projects or workshops and also with their chosen company to intern with.
“Interactive Design is not about design only, but it is also about the experience of the possible users,” one of the lecturers said. These students are not just creating products or furniture in this workshop to solve a day-to-day problem, but they are also creating new interactions for the people, to give them a new and refreshing experience. DIPS students were positive even though some of their designs were denied, it was fuel for motivation to work harder for this workshop and make their ideas more feasible. Not only would they be able to get the experience of working as a designer but would also be able to learn more from the two studios, Habits and Deesawat. Also, again, this workshop is an opportunity for the students to be able to show off their skills and they might be chosen to show their design and actual product during the design week in Milan. Good luck to these students and may they succeed with their endeavors!
They will be meeting again next month for another progress, see you then~!
