All staff members need to complete continuing education training between July 1st and June 30th. If you are employed for all 12 months of that year, you need to have at least 24 hours of training. If you are employed for part of that year, your training requirements are prorated (2 hours per month).
Training consists of the completion of “mandatory” courses (some of which are provided throughout the year during staff meetings), and supplemented by “related” courses. New Hires: time for taking CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety and Emergency Evacuation does not count toward the 24 hours your first year.
It is the responsibility of each staff member to fax in documentation indicating current professional liability insurance coverage, as well as current licensing (if applicable).
