Initial Outcome strategies are written by the Service Coordinators in Montgomery County.

If you come on to a case as an add-on service, you may be asked to assist the SC to write the goal and strategies. Here are some resources if needed:

Please note that in some cases, there will not necessarily be a separate goal for each discipline. But, each discipline will have different strategies.

Annotated IFSP

Annotated ER

Access Pelican to enter Outcomes and to get completed ER/IFSP information. The Pelican password changes every 60 days. Please contact Connie with Pelican log-in issues. Please note that you can search for a child via their name OR the BSU # (which is helpful in the event that the child’s name is spelled incorrectly).

Entering Outcomes:

Go to: PLAN
Go to: MANAGE PLAN
Type in the child’s name
Go to: VIEW/MODIFY PLAN DETAILS
Go to: OUTCOME/GOALS
Select the outcome # you are to be working on and click “edit”
Complete the 2 sections at the bottom of the page (strategies and progress monitoring)
Click SAVE and CONTINUE
Print a copy for families

Review the Evaluation Report (ER) to write goals on the Outcome sheet. If you have a second goal to work on, repeat the same process. If you are asked to update an Outcome that is currently completed in PELICAN, click on that Outcome and hit “edit”. Then you can either delete or add to the information that is already in the bottom 2 sections.

Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)

Click PLAN
Click in gray area MANAGE PLAN
Type in the first and last name of child- You must have the correct spelling or it will not work.
Click DOWNLOAD PRINTABLE PLAN. If the draft of the IFSP is not in there, contact the SC directly.
