Chase Travel allows users to book flights, hotels, rental cars, and vacation packages while earning or redeeming reward points.
The Chase Travel portal is available to Chase cardholders who earn Ultimate Rewards points. That means you need to have one of the following cards (personal or business) to access it:
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
Chase Sapphire Reserve®
Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
Chase Freedom® cards (including Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex, when linked to a Sapphire or Ink account to unlock point transfers)
Ink Business Cash® and Ink Business Unlimited® (same as Freedom cards, points can be pooled into a Sapphire/Ink Preferred account)
You log in to your Chase online account or mobile app.
Navigate to the Ultimate Rewards dashboard.
From there, you’ll see the option to enter the Chase Travel portal, powered by Expedia.
If you don’t have a card that earns Ultimate Rewards, you won’t see the portal option.
Sapphire Reserve holders get the best redemption rate (points worth 1.5 cents each in the portal).
Sapphire Preferred holders get 1.25 cents per point.
Other cards default to 1 cent per point unless points are transferred to a premium card account.
You can also pay with cash or a mix of points + cash.
So, in short: only Chase Ultimate Rewards-earning cards unlock the portal, and premium cards give you the best value when booking flights, hotels, or other travel.
