Chase Travel allows users to book flights, hotels, rental cars, and vacation packages while earning or redeeming reward points.
Yes — the Chase Travel portal does allow you to pay with both cash and points together. When booking flights, hotels, rental cars, or other travel options, you’ll see the option to:
Redeem points fully for the booking.
Pay entirely with cash using your Chase card.
Mix points and cash — apply as many points as you want, then cover the remainder with your card.
This flexibility is especially useful if you don’t have enough points to cover the full cost of a trip. For example, if a flight costs $500 and you only have 30,000 points, you could redeem those points (worth $300–$450 depending on your card) and pay the balance in cash.
👉 Keep in mind: the value of your points depends on your card type. With Sapphire Reserve, points are worth 1.5¢ each in the portal; with Sapphire Preferred, 1.25¢; and with most other cards, 1¢.
