BMC demonstrates a significant commitment to providing free educational resources, ensuring that community members who are not formally enrolled students can benefit from its academic infrastructure and expertise.
Free Courses Leading to a Certificate or Award: BMC’s Continuous Education Center (CEC) acts as a pivotal bridge between the college and the community. Through strategic international partnerships, it offers high-quality, certified language programs open to the public. These are structured courses leading to recognized credentials including:
We have once again renewed our prestigious partnership with the British Council—reaffirming our leadership as the first private institution in Saudi Arabia accredited to host the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) examinations. This partnership reflects more than prestige—it's our commitment to empowering future physicians with global opportunities, without leaving the Kingdom. Moreover, our association with the British Council to provide English language courses that systematically enhance core competencies in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, equipping learners with skills vital for the globalized job market.
Collaboration with the Goethe-Institut to offer standardized German language courses, providing learners with a certified pathway to language proficiency for personal or professional development.
Partnership with the Alliance Française to deliver comprehensive French language programs for both adults and children, culminating in a certificate of completion.
Free Access to Campus Facilities and Equipment: BMC has launched its 2025 Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, welcoming 106 talented students from all over the Kingdom. This initiative, in partnership with Mawhiba, aims to provide an advanced academic experience for gifted students. The program, depicted through images of students in labs and lecture settings, signifies a strong commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders in healthcare and research. Moreover, our weekly News Magazine and Social Accountability agenda reveal an implicit and explicit policy of opening BMC’s state-of-the-art facilities to the public for educational purposes. The "Small Scientist" program, implied through school partnerships, suggests access to laboratory environments for school students, providing them with hands-on scientific experience rarely available outside higher education. More explicitly, events like the "Radiology Art Gallery" transformed the main lobby into a public exhibition space, merging medical science with art. Furthermore, the "Schools Forum for Medical Specialties" and various orientation tours for preparatory year students systematically utilize campus labs, clinics, and auditoriums to provide immersive, real-world insights into medical careers for hundreds of visiting students.
Free Access to Online Resources: While BMC's extensive digital library and learning platforms (like Blackboard) are primarily for enrolled students, the infrastructure supports public-facing initiatives. The structured online language courses offered in partnership with the Alliance Française and British Council represent a curated form of free public access to digital educational content. Additionally, the promotion of events and sharing of key takeaways through social media channels (as seen with the "What Medication Do in Our Body" initiative at Dar Jana School) extends the reach of educational content beyond the physical event.
