Publication of SDG Reports
BMC demonstrates an unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of its sustainability efforts through a robust, multi-channel reporting strategy. The institution’s systematic approach to documenting and disseminating its progress on the SDGs is a core component of its partnership ethos, ensuring all stakeholders—from students and faculty to government partners and the international community—have clear insight into its activities and impacts. BMC’s publication strategy is structured to provide both granular detail and a holistic, institution-wide overview.
Systematic Framework for SDG Reporting
1. Individual Program-Level Social Responsibility Reports: Each academic program within BMC, from Medicine and Dentistry to Occupational Therapy and the Preparatory Year, produces its own detailed "Social Responsibility Report." These are, in effect, individual SDG progress reports. They provide a granular, discipline-specific view of contributions.
2. Individual SDG Report: By collecting different BMC’s academic program and administrative sectors, BMC is committed to the synthesis and publication of individual SDG showing its initiatives, activities and future planes.
3. A Consolidated Annual Sustainability Report: Building upon these activities and reports, BMC is committed to the synthesis and publication of a comprehensive, college-wide "Annual Sustainability and SDG Impact Report." This flagship document will consolidate data from all programs and administrative units to present a unified narrative of BMC’s sustainability journey. It explicitly maps the college’s diverse activities to each of the 17 SDGs, providing stakeholders with a clear, at-a-glance understanding of BMC’s holistic impact.
4. Dynamic Digital Disclosure via the Official Sustainability Website: To ensure permanent, accessible, and engaging dissemination of its sustainability narrative, BMC maintains a dedicated Sustainability section on its official corporate website at https://www.bmc.edu.sa/en/About-BMC/Sustainability. This digital platform is the public face of BMC’s commitment, serving as a living repository for the latest SDGs reports; news articles and press releases highlighting ongoing sustainability initiatives; Multimedia content (photos, videos) showcasing community engagement; and Key policies and statements of commitment.
