Reflection on the Blog: Todestriebe = death drive

The will to live is one of the most potent forces of nature that makes us do everyday activities. It is the survival for which we study hard, work hard, travel safely, buy insurance, swallow pills, and whatnot!

A person with self-destructive tendencies is often said to be disturbed or “requires help”. We often find ourselves feeling bad for them. Therefore, finding someone willing to destroy themselves or watching similar visuals will make us feel uncomfortable. 

The useless box shows this aspect very well. The primary purpose of that box is just to remain closed. Similarly, the fighting bots provide an alternative to brutal human fighting championships like UFC. I watch bot fights from time to time, and they are delightful as hell!

I would like to introduce something like Squid Games for the “hypothetical work”. It is a betting game where hundreds of bots participate with years of experience. The humans can bet on the game and their/favourite bots. 

The bots must be made to exhibit life-like human qualities. The viewers must be attached to the life story of their favourite bots. They would participate in potentially life-threatening games where one or more bots must die in every round. It could be any bot—even one with a 100% success streak. 

It should be about luck, chances and probability more than skill. Every game and every round should be unpredictable in the way things unfold. The bots should always carry the scars/repairs they had. In addition, a bot, once killed, must never come back. 

It will serve as the true essence of the meaning of life. It will be a new form of gambling.

The emotions and reactions towards such a game will reveal the importance of living. It might serve as a means to get rid of all attachments or become extra cautious not to lose anything until you live. It might evoke human-like feelings for inanimate objects. Our understanding of consciousness and perception of human emotions will get challenged in every way.
