Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups green beans, trimmed
1/2 cup roasted peanuts (unsalted)
1 red bell pepper, sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1 tablespoon cornstarch (for marinating steak)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions:
Marinate the Steak:
In a bowl, mix the thinly sliced flank steak with cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Stir-Fry:
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak in a single layer and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Vegetables:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the green beans and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine Everything:
Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Pour in the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using). Add the roasted peanuts and toss everything together. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes to heat through and combine the flavors.
Serve:
Serve the stir-fried green beans with steak and peanuts over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy your delicious and nutritious meal!
