Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, or thyme)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Olive oil or cooking spray (for greasing)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil or cooking spray.
Prepare the Coating:
In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
In another shallow dish, place the flour.
In a third dish, beat the eggs until well combined.
Coat the Chicken:
Take each chicken breast and first coat it in flour, shaking off any excess.
Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
Finally, press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it is well coated on all sides.
Bake the Chicken:
Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C) and the crust is golden brown.
Serve:
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your delicious Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken with your favorite sides!
