Rotel Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents
Ingredients:
1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
1 lb ground sausage (breakfast or Italian)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with green chilies, drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional: fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
Mix Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, drained Rotel tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well combined.
Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
Fill and Roll: Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough towards the pointed end, enclosing the filling.
Bake: Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
