SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE FOR BARANGAYS (SGLGB)

Program Overview

The Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) is a performance-based recognition program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) that recognizes barangays which demonstrate excellence in governance, transparency, accountability, and delivery of basic services.

The SGLGB encourages barangays to continuously improve their performance by complying with national policies and adopting best practices in local governance. Through this program, barangays are assessed based on their compliance with essential governance standards that contribute to the overall development and well-being of their communities.

The program supports the broader goal of strengthening grassroots governance and complements the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) program for provinces, cities, and municipalities.
