WHAT IS LGRC?

Aligned with the Department’s mandate as the key driver of excellence in local governance, the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) advances knowledge management within DILG systems and processes to support its development as a Knowledge-Centric Organization (KCO). It operates on the principle that the LGRRC and the DILG function as one, with all Department initiatives aligned with the LGRRC framework.

The LGRRC aims to foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing in local governance, guided by the principles of Knowledge Management, multi-stakeholder engagement, and convergence. Sub-LGRRC works toward promoting business-friendly and competitive communities, environmental protection and climate resilience, socially safe and protective communities, and transparent and accountable local government units in the region.

The Center operates under the Local Government Academy (LGA) and is managed by the Sub-LGRRC team, led by the Program Manager, with support from Facility Focal Persons.

It facilitates the collection, organization, and dissemination of governance-related information and learning resources, reinforcing the Department’s goal of becoming a Knowledge-Centric Organization (KCO).

Anchored on the principles of Knowledge Management, multi-stakeholder participation, and convergence, the e-LGRC promotes continuous learning and knowledge sharing among local government stakeholders. Through its online platform, it contributes to the development of business-friendly and competitive, environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient, socially protective and safe communities, and transparent and accountable local government units in the region.

PURPOSE OF THE E-LGRC:
