The Authority to Purchase Motor Vehicle (APMV) ensures that local government units (LGUs) secure the necessary authorization prior to the acquisition of motor vehicles using public funds. The program aims to regulate and monitor the procurement of motor vehicles to ensure that such purchases are necessary, reasonable, and in accordance with existing government rules, regulations, and budgetary guidelines.
