Disney's Classic Magic Parade

A Magic Kingdom Nighttime Spectacular

Don't let Magic Kingdom's newest nighttime parade pass you by, as classic Magic Kingdom attractions come together for all to enjoy!

Classic Magic is a limited-time parade designed specifically for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary. A nighttime parade found in the Magic Kingdom, this spectacular experience celebrates how Walt Disney World has brought guests from around the world together to look toward the future for half a century. With fantastic new floats and some fan-favorite old ones, the parade reflects iconic Magic Kingdom attractions. So without further ado, let's sit back and watch this brand new addition to the Magic Kingdom's nighttime entertainment.

Parade Overview

it's a small world

The parade opens with it's a small world, an iconic attraction that fits the parade's overall theme. The small world theme song begins playing as a Mary Blair-inspired float leads the parade down the street. The float is very flat and layered, inspired by the loading area for the attraction. Following this large float are Disney College Program employees from 50 countries around the world. With the post-pandemic reboot of the College Program, this part of the parade serves as a way to celebrate the international students who work at Walt Disney World. Each one of these diverse performers is dressed in native garb.

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room

After the small world segment passes by, a large Enchanted Tiki Room float follows. This foilage-covered float combines the lovable birds of the Tiki Room with the lovely greenery of the Jungle Cruise. The float features several brand new bird animatronics sitting on tree branches, and a large tiki head in the back. These new bird animatronics would be relocated from the float to replace the original attraction's animatronics following the end of the parade's limited-time run. An instrumental version of The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room plays as the birds talk to each other and the audience. The birds alternate between talking and singing along to the song, sometimes urging guests to sing along with them.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

The next float in the line is for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The design of the float incorporates the iconic rock spires seen in the attraction, and Billy the Goat can be seen sitting amongst them, chewing on his favorite stick of dynamite... The engine of the BTM train is the centerpiece of the attraction, jutting out from between the rock spires. It puffs steam and whistles for guests as the float passes by.

Splash Mountain/Country Bear Jamboree

The next float features some of the iconic critters of Frontierland's Splash Mountain and Country Bear Jamboree on the iconic Zip a Dee Lady showboat. As one of the larger floats in the parade, this Frontierland float carries several costumed cast members, and a couple smaller animatronics as well. Brer Rabbit, the Country Bears, Brer Gator, Brer Bear, and more all sing a Country Bears-style country bluegrass Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah together. This parade float paid a final tribute to Splash Mountain. It would close to be rethemed just weeks after the parade's run ended.

The Haunted Mansion

As the lovable Frontierland critters move on, grim grinning ghosts follow. The Haunted Mansion float (first seen during the Boo to You Parade) carries the hitchhiking ghosts, while other ghosts and ghoulies walk (or should I say float) alongside it.

Mad Tea Party

Following the Haunted Mansion float comes something unique. Costumed cast members (portraying characters from Alice in Wonderland) move past guests in small, go-kart-like tea cups with hidden wheels, inspired by the Mad Tea Party ride vehicles. They spin around and wave at guests as they move past.

Space Mountain

As the teacups leave, the classic Space Mountain song Here's to the Future begins playing. The Space Mountain float then approaches. Taking design cues from the iconic mountain structure itself, the float is composed of several smaller platforms and one large platform at the top of the mountain. On the float are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto, all in astronaut costumes, waving to guests. The mountain part of the float is lit with subtle lights that blend together to produce a rainbow of shifting colors.
