1 John 4:8
God is LOVE
8 But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
It is the Nature of God to LOVE, because He is LOVE...Scripture tells us these things about love and specifically God's LOVE...
Paul was crucified with Christ...It is no longer he who lived, but Christ who lives in him...And the life he now lived in the flesh he lived by faith in the Son of God, who LOVES him and gave Himself for me...We love because He first loved us...Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is LOVE...But you, O LORD, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast LOVE and faithfulness...But God shows His LOVE for us in that while we were still sinners, He had Christ die for us...The LORD your God is in your midst, a Mighty One who will save you; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His LOVE; He will exult over you with loud singing...So we have come to know and to believe the LOVE that God has for us...God is LOVE, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him...See what kind of LOVE the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are...The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him...Beloved, let us love one another, for LOVE is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God...But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great LOVE with which He LOVES us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who LOVED us...For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God in Christ Jesus our LORD...For God so LOVES the world, that He gave His Only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life...
