Romans 15:13
God of Hope
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 6:19-20
Hope is the Anchor to My Soul
19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 11:1
By Faith
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
1 Corinthians 13:11-13
Faith, Hope, and Love
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Hebrews 9:14-15
The Holy Spirit is Eternal
14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance —now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
Hebrews 13:8
God is the Same Forever
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
1 John 4:8
God is Love
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Our God is a God of hope...And we know that hope is the anchor to the soul...Faith, love, and hope are a very important part of each of our lives...When we live in faith, hope, and love, we live a good life...Faith, hope, and love are a support system for our lives...And love helps in our hopes and dreams...
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and faith makes it clearer of what we do not see and cannot understand...We cannot physically see the faith we have in God, or the hopes and dreams we have, or the love we have for our neighbor, spouses and family...But they are actually there and very important in your life...Faith, hope, and love not only get us through life, but they are the important things that bring happiness, joy, and pleasure in our lives...
St. Paul tells us we reason and think a little bit different on things when we are in our childhood...We have childish ways and do not think about certain things...Hope, faith, and love, especially as we age, seems to become more important than knowledge and maybe even wisdom...Knowledge and wisdom are an important part of life, but things change as we get older...When we leave childhood and look into the mirror and see the current face that father time has given us, we reason differently as we age...While we change, God does not...St. Paul tells us the important things in life as he aged became faith, hope, and love...Because our God of Hope brings us closer to this hope, faith and His love...He does this with the hope and by the power of the Holy Spirit that He has put in us...The Holy Spirit is eternal, and it gives us this great hope of the promised inheritance of eternal life with Jesus and His Father...Jesus died for us and gives us an eternal hope...And He is the way and the mediator to the Father...
The God of Hope gives us these important things -faith, hope, and love...Hope helps ground us and gives us this dream about the eternal Holy Spirit living on (and into eternity)...Faith allows us to Trust in the LORD, especially when we cannot see or understand certain things in life and why they have happened and turned out the way your life has turned out...Love is the most importance, because God is Love...Be patient and hope, have faith in God, and love those around you, and this will make for a good life...Our neighbors help us in living as we get older, yet sometimes we may overlook them and their importance in our lives...The three real treasures in life are faith, hope, and love, that encompass God and neighbor...
