Who can use the large vacuum former? 

In addition to the Shop Orientation, you must receive Proficiency Training from Shop staff before using the large vacuum former.

PLEASE NOTE: this machine often requires one to several days of lead time for set-up, so plan ahead and communicate your needs with staff as early as possible. 

Shop staff typically need 1-2 days to change the platen, or several days to build a custom-sized platen.

What types of plastic can be formed? 

Common plastics include styrene and PET-G. See packet for more options.  Materials subject to approval of shop staff. 

What is the largest mold size? 

The Plasti-Vac machine can accommodate a mold as large as  60" long x 40" wide x 20" tall. 

Are materials provided?

Users must bring their own plastic sheets. See packet for retailers.
